Descendants of Michel Queret dit Latulippe Dear Guerrettes, Guerettes, and Queret dit Latulippe descendants, It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the annual Acadian Festival in beautiful Madawaska, Maine to be held June 26 to June 29, 2008. The Guerrette Family has been chosen to be the host family for the 2008 Acadian festival. During these four days of the festival we are planning special events for the Guerrettes. Such events include a talent show, banquet, special Mass and many other events that will be posted on our website. Guerrette souvenirs will be available as well as handcraft, local cuisine, and bilingual hospitality. Madawaska, the most northern town in the northeast, borders New Brunswick, Canada. Our French roots are still visible and intact due to the close proximity of many French communities in Canada. Come see the picturesque landscapes and breathtaking views of the St .John Valley at its best. A warm reception and friendly hospitality await you. We promise the Guerrette reunion will be one you will never forget. We are looking forward to meeting and greeting you, our cousins, from near and far. Since it is virtually impossible for us to invite every Guerrette descendant, especially women children who no longer bear the Guerrette name. We ask that you share this information with anyone who no longer bears the Guerrette name. We ask that you pass along this information to anyone we have missed. Send us their names and address, so that we may invite them. In order to organize the planning of these events, we solicit your input in filling out the enclosed forms by March 15, 2008. If you can’t make it to the event, please send the complete genealogical information form for the completion of the genealogy book. Enclosed you will also find a listing of accommodation in the area. We would like to stress the importance of pre-registration for the reunion, especially the banquet, so we may plan to serve in the best possible way. We ask that you limit the amount of photos to two per household for the genealogy book. We suggest that you put a peel and stick label with the info about your photos on the back of each photo. This will help expedite the process. The Guerrette Reunion Committee will also be creating an AD book. We will be including businesses as well as a section for deceased family members. You may purchase an AD if you wish. Send along a picture with whatever you wish to have written with the photos. The cost will be $100.00 for a full page, $50.00 for a half page and $25.00 for a quarter page. Your AD needs to be in by March 15, 2008. Again I can’t express enough how we are looking forward to greeting you in June 2008.
